Amazon Adds Managed Blockchain Platform Support to Cloud Storage Service
Amazon Web Services (AWS) integrates the Managed Blockchain platform into the cloud storage service, CoinDesk writes.
The CloudFormation infrastructure, part of the company's web services division, will support Amazon's own blockchain management system. The service can be used to "create and configure networks, participants and peers."
CloudFormation is free for Amazon Web Services customers. The solution simplifies the process of moving data between different projects in AWS.
“Thanks to the support of the Managed Blockchain in CloudFormation, you can create new blockchain networks and define network configurations, create new members and connect to existing networks, as well as describe member characteristics and network details, such as voting policies,” the company writes in a statement of 12 August.
The Amazon Managed Blockchain is positioned as a service that "addresses the increased requirements for networking and automatically scales to meet the needs of thousands of applications running millions of transactions."
The service was launched 3 months ago. His clients include companies such as AT&T, Nestle, and Accenture.
Last week it became known that Amazon could leverage distributed ledger technology in its advertising division.
